Alasdair Shaw

Independence

J Melanson - "The story hit the ground running and had me on the hungrily flipping page to page. It's well written, has likeable characters, and the good beginning to a possibly great story."

Liberty

B Melius - "this novel takes the reader down unusual paths with well thought out twists and turns that took me places I never saw coming. Any more detail and there’d be spoilers. If you like your space opera simple-good guys wipe the bad guys, kiss their horse and go home you may be in the wrong place. If you want well crafted story telling that sticks with you,you may be in luck. Some of the best written, original scifi I have come across in a long time."
Rated 4*

Tricia C - "The author clearly knows his science and his history and the world is so well realized it's hard to escape it once you start. The characters are rich and layed and extremely complex."
Rated 5*

D Rose - "The development and growth of both lead characters, and the interaction between them, is brilliant. Shaw's novel develops a number of threads, but ethics is a major theme. The rights of artificial intelligences, and how humans respond to the assertion of those rights, is a fascinating debate underpinning the abundant action of the story. The gritty realism of Shaw's choices in the plotline only enhance the novel."

The Best Bits of Physics

Robin Lake - "What a great book! It is always helpful when someone can translate tricky science topics into plain English for non-technical folks."
